That the relevant changes are made to the recommendations as shown below in strikethrough and bold italics:

Recommendations

2.1    That Committee agrees that officers should submit a response to the government’s call for evidence to inform the development of a tourist accommodation registration scheme. (See Appendix 3).

2.2    That Committee note the updated information in this paper following the previous report to TECC in March 2020.

2.3    That Committee agrees that in addition to submitting a response to the government’s consultation, we must take further action,       including setting up our own registration scheme.

2.4    That Committee agrees that officers should bring a further report to this committee in January 2023, outlining options for such a scheme, including a simple online registration service, and the resourcing implications for each option.

2.3    That Committee agrees that in addition to submitting a response to the         government’s consultation, we can and must take further action, including setting up our own registration scheme.

2.4    That Committee agrees that officers should bring a further report to this committee in January 2023, outlining progress on the council setting up a registration scheme for short term holiday lets within Brighton & Hove.
